Uber, the international technology company, and mi-Fone The FIRST African Mobile Devices brand, have joined forces to deliver seamless Uber access to mi-Fone customers. Starting in March, the Uber app will be embedded in all new mi-Fone Android Smartphones. mi-Fone will be one of Uber’s key mobile partners across Africa in markets such as Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa.

Added benefits of this partnership are that all driver-partners using the Uber app in Kenya will have access to purchase a specially priced 5inch smartphone. In Nigeria mi-Fone and Konga the largest E-Commerce platform have joined forces to launch their co-branded initiative called mi-Tribe. The mi-Tribe device comes pre-embedded with the Uber app and offers discounted rides for first time Uber users who sign up with the code “MIAFRICA”
